By Apple’s customer service teams received an internal memo announcing a change in repair policy for older out-of-warranty watches, according to Bloomberg News. The company will no longer offer replacements for models predating the Apple Watch Series 6.
Earlier this week, Apple declared a temporary halt in sales of its Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches within the United States due to a patent dispute concerning the technology supporting the blood oxygen feature. Consequently, these particular models are currently unavailable for purchase on Apple’s U.S. website.
